Elle Update

Elle's schedule has been changed a little. She is currently doing another week of the Temodar and Irinotecan. She may do one more week of Irinotecan. But she will now get her scans on February 23. And from there we'll decide what the next step should be.

Through all of this, she has been...awesome. Full of life and fire, you wouldn't know she was on chemo if not for the bald head and line coming out of her chest. She has been going to dance, chasing the cats, jumping on my back in sneak-attacks...and more. This video isn't the greatest quality (the lighting was lousy), but you should be able to make out the Dancing Elle on her bed. Enjoy!

LEAVES!!

Elle is doing well. She is getting vincristine pushes for the next couple of weeks as we await word of when her surgery will take place (between now and year's end). She is growing peach fuzz on her head that is coming in pitch black. Of course, with the post-surgery chemo it will fall back out and knowing Elle she'll will her hair to be blond the next time it grows back. And then it will be blond because what Elle wants, Elle gets. Once you accept that, life goes a little easier.

And with that, here are two videos of Elle jumping in a huge pile of leaves. She decimated it about a dozen times and made me re-rake it over and over. The kid is a grade-A leaf jumper.

Elle Dances!

It was a good weekend for Elle. My parents came up to visit and Elle made sure to get all she could out of Grandma and Grandpa. Much attention was spent and love was given. There was also some Martel's ice cream and a trip to the Clambake involved.

But the highlight was later today when Elle tried on her dance recital outfit and danced to some records (yes, real vinyl!) This video clip is her last dance to The Beatles. It's in Quicktime so if you don't have it and can't view this, trust me when I tell you it is cute beyond measure.
